After Feldenkrais lessons I no longer have trouble feeling balanced and at ease when I'm walking. In addition to improvements in my balance, I move much more freely. I used to force my neck to move, and now it just goes!

SPRING CLEAN YOURSELF AT THE FELDENKRAIS LEARNING CENTER!
Join our weekly Awareness Through Movement lessons, to move from Winter into Spring with increased well-being.
ATM gives you the opportunity to learn new behaviors, freeing you to direct your energy more efficiently in all you do. Neuroscientific research is recognizing that we can reduce stress by creating a different attitude to potentially stressful situations and so minimize the wear and tear on ourselves.
Gradually the world of fitness is also becoming aware of the need to
incorporate our entire system in more humane and intelligent activity
which builds overall well-being rather than strength in one part or
another. Click on the FEATURED ARTICLE link further on in this newsletter to read the insights of a Feldenkrais
teacher who works within the fitness industry.
Sunday workshops will help to put a spring in your step!
Rediscover the pleasure of walking with fluid grace and learn how your feet can become the flexible support structures they are designed to be, so that you can negotiate your relationship with the ground with supple ease. Come to an Introduction to Feldenkrais to renew the sense of freedom which arises from optimal self-use.
We look forward to seeing you in our classes and workshops! |

FACULTY SIGHTINGS Here's what some of our faculty have been up to in addition to the classes and workshops they are offering at the Center.
Marcy Lindheimer Marcy Lindheimer will be co-teaching the first segment of the Anat Baniel Method Basic Training at the end of February. In March, she'll be co-teaching the 10th and last segment of the Basic Training. Mid-April, she'll travel to Chicago to work with Special Needs Children from the Midwest.

honors the implicit psychological and spiritual growth offered by the FELDENKRAIS METHOD.
Scott Fraser Scott will be co-teaching a workshop at the Society for the Advancement of Judaism (SAJ) over the next couple of months. He
will be exploring the idea of rest and reflection during Shabbat by
cultivating awareness and a deeper quality of attending to ourselves
and others through the FELDENKRAIS METHOD.
Rebecca Gardiner Rebecca has joined the staff of the Park Avenue Wellness Center in addition to maintaining her private practice and teaching at the Feldenkrais Learning Center.
Julia Pak Julia is now teaching weekly classes at the National Council of Jewish Women, an organization that addresses the social, intellectual and creative needs of people 55 years and older.
Kathy Yates Kathy recently taught a workshop entitled "Through the Looking Glass...an inside-out look at marketing the FELDENKRAIS METHOD" at the annual conference of the Feldenkrais Guild of North America's New York Region.
