After living
a life of constant pain,
I am now pain-free
and powerful, thanks to
your classes.
I'm relaxed
after yoga but transformed after Feldenkrais.

I can't imagine my life without the classes
at the Feldenkrais Learning Center.
The classes really are
one of
New York's greatest secrets!

FEATURED ARTICLE

TO STRETCH OR NOT TO STRETCH?

Fundamental to the Feldenkrais Method is our brain's ability to grow and create new neurological patterns. At the time of Dr. Feldenkrais' initial discoveries, the adult brain was considered to be fixed and immutable. Today, scientists are exploring the plasticity of the brain and our ability to continue growing throughout our lifetime.

Our featured article recently appeared in the Health section of
The New York Times.

FACULTY SIGHTINGS
Here's what some of our faculty have been up to in addition to the classes and workshops they are offering at the Center.

Marcy Lindheimer
In January, Marcy will be co-teaching in California with Anat Baniel the 9th segment of the basic training in the Anat Baniel Method, based on the teachings of Dr. Feldenkrais. February will find Marcy off to California again to co-teach the first segment of the new basic training. Applications are still being accepted.

Barbara Forbes

Barbara will be studying with her mentor, Russell Delman, whose work honors the implicit psychological and spiritual growth offered by the Feldenkrais Method.

Rebecca Gardiner
Rebecca presented an introduction to the Feldenkrais Method to the employees of Colgate Palmolive as part of their stress-reduction program.

Julia Pak
Julia is now teaching weekly classes at the National Council of Jewish Women, an organization that addresses the social, intellectual and creative needs of people 55 years and older.

Kathy Yates
Kathy provided an in-service to Pediatric PTs and an introduction to musicians at Montclair State University.
