"The workshop was simply magical. I felt fantastic, full of life with a lot of flexibility and thrilled to get up and down off the floor so effortlessly. I am looking forward to continuing my immersion in this work. It is truly saving my life!"

Our classes and workshops focus on true health and effective action. We have included a link to a brief excerpt from Counterclockwise, the latest book by award-winning social psychologist Ellen J. Langer. She has found that the necessary ingredients for potent action are mindfulness and exploring possibilities. These elements are cultivated in every class and workshop we offer at the Feldenkrais Learning Center.

Counterclockwise: Mindful Health and the Power of Possibility. (Click on the above then scroll down to the section called The Psychology of Possibilities.)

We look forward to sharing the Feldenkrais Method
with you at the Center!

FACULTY SIGHTINGS:
Here's what some of our faculty have been up to in addition to the classes and workshops they are offering at the Center.

Marcy Lindheimer
In October, Marcy gave a mentoring to Anat Baniel Method (ABM) practitioners in Chicago on the topic: The Baby's First Movements. On November 6th in California, she'll give a teacher training to the basic training teaching staff at the Anat Baniel Method Center, on Potent Demonstrations. November 7th through the 15th, Anat and Marcy will co-teach segment four of the ABM basic training in San Rafael.

Barbara Forbes
Barbara will also be studying with Embodied Life mentor, Russell Delman, at a weekend retreat in New York in November. Barbara is also excited to be teaching a course of Feldenkrais: Awareness Through Movement at Sarah Lawrence College during the 2009-2010 school year. Offered by the Dance Department, the class is open to all students and faculty.

Rebecca Gardiner

Rebecca is in the preliminary phase of creating a documentary on the Feldenkrais Method.

Sharon Oliensis
Starting in January, Sharon will begin teaching a weekly Feldenkrais class  at the New School in the Creative Arts Therapies Program.

Kathy Yates
Kathy just completed another week of TTouch training - wonderful behavioral and health modality for animals, based on Feldenkrais principals. While learning, she lead participants through a breathing lesson. Kathy will also be studying with Embodied Life mentor, Russell Delman, at a weekend retreat in New York in November.
