JUST.LIVE: BRINGING A NEW IMAGE TO MN HIP HOP!
|
February 25, 2008
JUST.LIVE band members Beeph (Just) and Courtney (Live), are definitely giving Minnesota Hip Hop or shall I say "Hip Pop" fans something worth checking for. This talented duo has been doing their thing in the Twin Cities since 2001 and could very well be a part of putting Minnesota back on the map.
This past Saturday, the MaXXposure team had the opportunity to catch Just.Live performing live at the Fine Line along with The New Congress and Soulacious and we must say, they've definitely made fans out of us. Speaking of fans, the crowd resembled nothing less, reciting every word as the energetic Just.Live performed hits such as the very catchy "So Ghetto" and the cocky yet fun "I'm Phresh". Almost resembling the popular Hip Hop group "Outkast", the pair, as well as the band were looking oh so fashionable in matching college sweaters similar to the ones worn in the movie "Grease", a fashion statement that only true trendsetters who aren't afraid to be different can pull off and make look hot. For that alone, Just.Live receives two thumbs up and has definitely proved their freshness! Shout out to the drummer Brandon Commodore for the invite; we definitely enjoyed ourselves and will be sure to catch the next show.
Visit the official MaXXposure page to see more photos of our night with "Just.Live". Also, to read more about Just.Live and to hear more music, visit their official Myspace page at www.myspace.com/justlivehiphop.

With artists such as Muja Messiah representing the Twin Cities earning a spot in VIBE Magazine's Best 51 Myspace Rappers, Northside's Gotti "The Governor" up for The Source Magazine's "Unsigned Hype" (pictured in the bottom right hand corner), and Michigan native but Minneapolis resident, D.A. aka "Most Official" as one of the finalists in Loud.com's battle competition, the future for Twin Cities artists is looking pretty bright.
