Staff Pick of the Week |
We love the Planet Bike Blinky Super Flash for its incredible visibility and convenience. The light's unique flashing pattern was designed to mimic emergency vehicle lights, after the owner of Planet Bike, Bob Downs, observed one day how his eye was always drawn to the top of ambulances. Its convenient rear mount and clip allows the light to be mounted anywhere from your seat post to the back of your helmet or jersey. The light has a visibility range of up to a mile and 100 hours of battery life to last through winter. Come check it out next time you are in the shop!

Dear Cycling Friends,
You don't have to look too hard to find someone who has been affected by breast cancer. Their faces easily come to mind. My sister-in-law, my neighbor, my son's first grade teacher. The survivors in our cycling community who participated in our Breast Cancer Awareness Ride last year. On Saturday, October 8th, we ride for our mothers, daughters, sisters, aunts, and our best friends. We ride for people we know and for people we don't. We ride to raise money for research and to find a cure.
Chances are you'll be riding somewhere next Saturday. Won't you please ride with us? Each rider receives a goody bag, amazing post ride lunch from Angotti's Family Restaurant, and an opportunity to win great door prizes including a Trek Travel Weekend Trip or a Trek 2012 Lexa SL bicycle.
But most importantly, you have the opportunity to ride not just for yourself next Saturday, but for others. For every person who has been affected by breast cancer. Register now. Can't make it that weekend? You can still support the ride by donating online. You can also attend our Women on Wheels PINK OUT! event at the shop on Thursday, October 13th from 6-9pm for a cycling fall fashion show, silent auction, and local vendor fair to benefit The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Come wearing pink and enjoy fabulous PINK food, drink and door prizes - all while benefiting an organization that is truly making a difference in the lives of women everywhere. RSVP requested! Happy Riding, Trish & Paul Syracuse Bicycle 315-446-6816 |
