Dear Cycling Friends,
On September 12th, 2002, I lost my sister-in-law, CJ Ryan, to breast cancer. She was my brother's wife and mother to three beautiful girls who at the time were aged 13, 10, and 7 years. In the five years CJ battled cancer, we only saw her cry only once. "That was when the doctor told her she had the disease," recalls my brother Steve. "After that, she would give us a reassuring smile as she endured her often very painful treatments." What I remember most about CJ was her devotion to family. Five years earlier, a career change brought my family to Philadelphia where my brother's family lived. At the time, I was a new mom and like most, trying to adjust to the demands of a toddler and acclimate to life in a new area. CJ immediately called and set up twice weekly playdates for our one-year-olds. 
We spent many hours together over the next two years, taking care of our children and laughing. Always laughing. CJ was there to lend a hand, an ear. She taught me much about motherhood. About finding joy in every day you spend with your children. Nine years ago this month, I lost my sister-in-law. My friend. My role-model. Please join me on October 8th as I remember CJ Ryan, and the hundreds of thousands of other women who have lost their life to this disease. Last year we had the largest ride in the country with 282 riders. Help us double that number this year and REGISTER TODAY!

First Annual Kid's Bike Rodeos
Come to one of our bike rodeos this weekend! It's a chance for your child to learn about-and practice-safe bicycling skills! The rodeo will include a safety inspection, free helmet fitting, and a series of skill stations demonstrating bike safety.
Saturday, September 24th @ Wellwood Middle School, Fayetteville 10:00am-1:00pm Sunday, September 25th @ Burton Elementary School, Cazenovia 10:00am-1:00pm - Free Helmets (while supplies last)

The Cazenovia Hill Bender 2011 features the most accommodating and demanding courses to challenge the novice and test the expert. The courses tour the outlying areas of Cazenovia, New York taking advantage of its scenic splendors and geographic diversity. Three different tour lengths offer all competition levels a day of riding that won't soon be forgotten! What is Two Smiles One Hope?
In 2007, Matthew and Alison Willis founded Two Smiles One Hope Foundation to raise funding and awareness for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, just 1 year after finding out their twin sons were born with the fatal disease.
