Dear Cycling Friends,

I have a love-hate relationship with email. Each morning I get up early to read and answer emails from three different accounts - Syracuse Bicycle, Endurance Factor coaching, and my personal account. I love it because it's a wonderful way to communicate efficiently and quickly. I hate it because it takes SO MUCH TIME.

But what I love the most about it is that it's a venue for customers to tell us about their experiences at Syracuse Bicycle  - good or bad.  It's an opportunity to congratulate our staff for a job well done. And even more so, it's an opportunity to improve upon what we're not doing so well.

Good news first.

...there aren't enough superlatives in mine to describe how I feel after my first ride on the new bike today!
  Liam Woods' New Scott
I can't thank you guys enough for such awesome service.  Took it for a quick 40 miler up to the Fenner Windmills (see photo) and I'm stoked. Soars like an eagle, descends like a dove and accelerates like a cheetah!  Awesome.  Please thank Brian, Craig and the guys in the service department who built it up, everything was perfect, clean precise shifts and buttery smooth ride.  The fit felt good Paul, I've never felt so comfortable riding in the drops before (used to be too stretched out).

Thanks again and see you soon,

 Liam Woods

This is a great example of the synergy our customers can experience at our shop. From the moment he walked in the door, to the moment he walked out with his new ride, Liam had a great experience. And that was the result of sales, service and bike fitting professionals working together to achieve our common goal: to bring our passion for cycling to our customers.

Sometimes, unfortunately, some of our customers don't have a great experience with us. This past week, one customer shared that he feels we're spending too much time on our women's rides and store events. He wants to see pictures and info about high end road bicycles in our newsletter and on our website.  He is looking for information more useful to the experienced rider, not just the beginner.

It would be easy enough to shrug it off and say "you can't please everyone." But that's not good enough.  We want to hear what we're doing wrong and how we can better serve ALL of our customers, not just triathletes, or just women. Check out the article below all about Cervelo Bicycles, one of our premier brands. And look for updates to our website soon.

So thank you to all of our customers who are willing to share their opinions with us.  The good, the bad, the ugly - we welcome it all! Just stop by, call, or email.

Happy Riding,

Cervelo Bicycles: Breakthrough Innovation for 2011

Your Best Entry into Pro Bike Performance

Cervelo RS with SRAM Rival for $2600!

Cervelo RS

Andreas Klier of the Cervélo Test Team said the RS is the "very, very, very, very, very, very best bike" he's ever ridden in Paris-Roubaix, the world's toughest bike race for equipment; proof that the RS is indeed light, stiff yet comfortable and strong.

This frame will make you more comfortable on your toughest weekend rides, and if needed, carry you to the podium of your local race. It even carried Thor Hushovd to the podium of one of his many weekend races: Paris-Roubaix.

The RS is part of the R-series, designed to make the difference on the hills and mountains.

Completely Re-engineered to Set the Standard Once Again
Cervelo R3 with SRAM Rival for $3200!

Cervelo R3

The original R3 has set the standard for lightweight yet stiff, strong and comfortable frames over the past five years. Its super-thin seatstays, Squoval tube shapes and in-house developed layup were a major leap forward in frame design. The completely re-engineered 2011 R3 takes another leap. The BBright system almost DOUBLES the already impressive BB stiffness and the tapered 1-3/8th tapered FK30 fork tracks like no other. The lab numbers are impressive, but experiencing one on the road is even more amazing. Testride one today! The R3 is part of the R-series, designed to make the difference on the hills and mountains.

The Comfortable Aero Tubing Frame
Cervelo S2 with SRAM Rival for $3200

Cervelo S2

The S2 is the pioneer of carbon fiber aero road frames and already has the reputation for being the ultimate pro bike. That's not surprising, given its long list of victories. What about comfort? Truth be told, many frames with aero tubing lack in comfort. At Cervélo, we have been designing aero road bikes for 15 years. We have the most experience in building aero frames without losing focus on weight, stiffness, strength AND comfort. So much so that Thor Hushovd has won cobblestone races on the S2. The S2 is part of the S-series, our all-round models equally at home in fast solos and hilly terrain. With just a few grams more than the R-series, it offers a true aero advantage.
