Dear JA Supporters,
We have just successfully wrapped up our first-ever JA BizTown Summer Camp. We welcomed 116 campers from across Middle Tennessee and two from outside the state! These 10-13-year-olds received the complete JA BizTown experience in just one week. They had a great time while learning how to work together, how to take responsibility, and how much work it takes to run a business.
One parent said Summer Camp helped her son "become aware of the complexity of the modern, urban world. He was exposed to a startling range of
responsibilities that impressed
and excited him."
Thank you to all the parents, teachers, volunteers, and staff who made these two sessions a wonderful experience for our students! We look forward to continuing to offer this program in the summers to come.

Summer Volunteerism
JA
volunteerism has not stopped just because the  school year has ended. On June 11th,
more than 20 Deloitte employees spent the day cleaning and painting JA BizTown
for the new school year, rebuilding program kits, and even installing a new
computer network. This effort was part of Deloitte's 11th annual IMPACT Day.
As part of
Ernst & Young Service Day on July 9th, a group of volunteers helped rebuild
32 JA programs kits, compiling materials for 960 students and saving JA of
Middle Tennessee nearly $3,200!

JA Golf Classic Rescheduled
The Franklin
American Mortgage Golf Classic presented by Gaylord Entertainment and Dollar
General will be held on August 26th at Gaylord Springs Golf Links.
This is a first-class day on the course, complete with high-level networking
and a Nike spending spree. Morning and afternoon rounds of play are available.
