Inside the President's Corner
with Trent Klingensmith
Jeffrey Buntin, Jr. has been an integral part of the
Executive Committee of our Board of Directors for many years. He has worked
tirelessly to promote the awareness of Junior Achievement throughout Middle
Tennessee and he has our deepest gratitude for his work. Jeffrey has launched several awareness initiatives in the
past few months, creating a new marketing brand to unite JA's efforts.
Advertisements, in association with Northwestern Mutual and the Pruett
Financial Group, have appeared in The Tennessean and the Nashville Business
Journal to spearhead the new marketing campaign. Additionally, an informational
piece highlighting JA BizTown™, JA's classroom programs, and JA's impact on
students' lives is being utilized to
spread the word about JA's purpose to potential donors and volunteers. I would like to thank Jeffrey and the team at The Buntin
Group for their efforts in promoting JA's message of business, workforce
readiness, financial literacy, and entrepreneurial education. Their support
will make a huge difference in the lives of 45,000 students in 16 Middle
Tennessee counties this year. In Jeffery's own words, "No one is too young to experience
their first year in business." Warm Regards, Trent

JA Shows Off Local Talent!
More than 40 young people were on hand to greet the guests,
help them find their tables and show-off JA programs Wednesday April 9th at the
US Business Hall of Fame event. These
students, recruited from area schools, also ate with the guests, providing an
opportunity to talk about their JA experiences.
Another 20 participated in the ceremony during the evening
black-tie event. Their skits provided
introductions to the inductees and comic relief for the crowd.
JA of Middle Tennessee wants to thank the student
Ambassadors and Presenters and their parents for all of their hard work and
dedication to this event!

JA BizTown Buzz
Each day in JA BizTown, students produce a
newspaper they sell to their fellow JA BizTown citizens. Each edition includes
news articles, feature stories, editorials, and of course - advertisements.
These are just a few examples of the great writing from recent JA BizTown
Newspaper staff members.

Grace as Mayor
By Elijah Vaughn
Editor of The JA Newspaper
Saint John Vianney Catholic School
Grace is a great Mayor. I asked her if she liked her job. She said it was hard but fun! Then I asked her what she has learned from being the Mayor. She said that she has learned about responsibility. She is really enjoying her job and one thing she does is get people to vote at the voting booth and she also takes a census count of our population. Keep up the great work, Mayor!
