Trash collection
reduces to
once per week on September 10

Beginning Monday, September 10, the City will reduce trash collection from twice to once per week for the off season. View the schedule.

DEADLINE
EXTENDED to September 6! Volunteers Needed for Boards and Commissions.

The City greatly appreciates the volunteers who lend their expertise to the boards and commissions that serve the City. Please submit an application by September 6, 2012 to be considered to serve beginning Jan. 2013.

Community Wellness Fair:
September 13 from 7:00-11:00 a.m.

Stay healthy! The Annual Isle of Palms Community Wellness Fair will be held Thursday, September 13 from 7:00-11:00 a.m. Fasting bloodwork, free screenings from healthcare professionals and specialists, and flu shots will be available.

Island Photos. Got Better?

Have you seen the fabulous water birds, including Wood Storks, Ibis, Herons, and Egrets, in the island's salt marshes lately? The City loves pictures of island people, places, and treasures. Enter the Recreation Department's photography contest with your own best photos!

City Offices Closed on
Monday, September 3.
No Trash Collection

City Administrative Offices, including City Hall, the Building and Zoning Department, Recreation, Public Works, and Police and Fire Administration, will be closed on Monday, September 3. Emergency services are always available by calling 911. No trash collection will occur on September 3. View the holiday week trash schedule.
