Municipal Inauguration January 3  
The Inauguration of four City Council members - Ryan Buckhannon, Jimmy Carroll, Michael Loftus, and Jimmy Ward - is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2012 at City Hall,
1207 Palm Boulevard.

Business Owners: License Renewals Due and Loans Available for Growth and Start-Ups

Business Licenses renewals have been mailed and are due, without penalty, by February 1, 2012.  Please call the Isle of Palms Building Department at 843-886-9912 with questions.

The BCD Council of Governments has a Revolving Loan Fund to assist business with a variety of start-up and growth costs.  Click here for more information.
Holiday Fire and Police Safety

The Isle of Palms Fire and Police Departments encourage safety this holiday season. 

To prevent fires, be sure to water your holiday trees every day.  Use hurricane candles instead of open flames for decorations.  Keep holiday trees, electric decorations and candles away from draperies and other flammable items.

To prevent crime, which can increase during the holidays, use these crime prevention tips.

Call 911 in an emergency or to report suspicious activity.
