City Applies for Greenbelt Funding
3206 Palm Boulevard
The Charleston County Greenbelt Program was established to help municipalities preserve green space.  The City has submitted a grant application to receive its allocation of $474,305 with the goal of preserving the undeveloped lot at 3206 Palm Boulevard.  The Grand Oaks on the property are believed to have survived Hurricane Hugo.  If successful, the City has no plans to make any improvements to the lot other than a dirt path to allow the public walk through the property to the beach.
