Easter Egg Hunt:
April 23

The Easter Bunny invites all children 12 and under to hunt Easter Eggs on the Recreation Center grounds starting at 10:00 a.m. sharp on Saturday, April 23, 2011. Easter candy, ice cream, jump castles and obstacle courses will keep the fun going at this FREE event.

Camp Registration opens for Island Residents on March 28

Registration for the popular Isle of Palms Athletic, Summershine, and Wee Camps opens for residents of the island on March 28. Non-residents can register beginning April 11. Click here for information on camp dates and themes. Call the Rec at 843-886-8294 to register.

Recycle Household Hazardous Waste and Shred Documents on March 26

Bring household hazardous waste - such as oil, electronic parts and paint - to the municipal parking lot on Pavilion Drive on Saturday, March 26 from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Click here for a complete list of acceptable materials, which will be either safely disposed of or recycled. Residents may also bring up to five boxes of sensitive or personal papers to be safely shredded.

Building Department Moves into City Hall at 1207 Palm Boulevard
Renovations on the City Hall building at 1207 Palm Boulevard are nearly complete, and the Building Department staff has moved into the first floor of City Hall. The Building Department is responsible for licensing, permitting and zoning. Stop by, see the renovated space, and say hello!

Annual Yard Sale: April 16

Clean out your garages and attics not only to recycle hazardous household waste on March 26, but also to participate in the City's Annual Yard sale from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 16 at the Recreation Center. To reserve a space to sell items, call the Rec at 843-886-8294 before all 50 plus spaces are sold! The island's biggest bargain hunt is sure to attract a crowd.
