Santa is Coming to Town! Tree Lighting at 6PM on Thursday, December 2

The forecast calls for snow on Front Beach. Join the City and Santa Claus on Front Beach at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 2 to light the spectacular 22-foot holiday tree. Local business and restaurants will feature seasonal specials, and live entertainment will help make the atmosphere festive. This is a free event. |
CALEA Assessors are Coming to Town! Public comments taken at 7PM on Monday, December 13. The Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA) is scheduled to conduct an On-Site Assessment of the Isle of Palms Police Deparment (IOPPD) on December 11-14. CALEA will evaluate whether the IOPPD meets professional standards in policy and procedures, administration, operations and support services.
 As part of the On-Site Assessment, members of the community are invited to offer comments at a public information session, Monday, December 13 at 7:00 p.m. in the Public Safety Building. Comments may also be offered by entering843-256-5560 from 1-4 p.m. on Monday, December 13.
