Friday Night Hoops -
 June 11
Basketball
Girls and boys ages 7-12 can have a safe, fun Friday night shooting hoops.  Learn proper passing techniques and basic dribbling skills during drills and games.  The cost is $10 per athlete.  Call the Rec at 843-886-8294 to register.  Sessions are from 6:00-8:00PM on the following Fridays: June 11, June 25, July 9, July 23, August 13.
 
Babysitting Course:
 June 12 from 9am-4pm

Plan to babysit this summer? This babysitting course will give an introduction to proper first aid for children, good nutrition and baby care.  Bring a pencil, paper and bag lunch.  Pre-register for the class by calling the Rec at 843-886-8294. Fees are $65 for residents and $70 for non-residents.

Charlotte's Web: May 26-29 at 7:00pm  
The Recreation Department and the Crabpot Players proudly present "Charlotte's Web."  Performances will be held at 7:00pm on May 26, 27, 28 & 29 at the Recreation Center.  Tickets are available for $5 in advance and seating is limited!  Doors will open 30 minutes prior to performance.  Check out the City's photo galleries of past Theater at the Rec performances, including Our Town, Alice in Wonderland and The Wizard of Oz.

Piccolo Spoleto Sandsculpting Competition: June 5 at 9:00am 
Sand Sculpting Competition
 
The Front Beach on the Isle of Palms will come alive with sand sculptures of all kinds at the annual Piccolo Spoleto Sandsculpting Competition on Saturday, June 5 at 9:00am.  This free event is open to individuals and teams of up to four people in the children's category, the family category and the adults' category.  The first 200 people who pre-register by calling the Rec at 843-886-8294 get a free T-shirt!
 
Beach Run 1







 
IOP Beach Run: July 17 at 8:00am
Get ready to run!  Register online or by calling the Rec at 843-886-8294 for the annual 4-mile IOP Beach Run and youth funs runs at 8:00am on Saturday, July 17.  The race will start and end behind on the beach behind The Windjammer.
