Holiday Basketball Camp - Register Now! 
Basketball
Limited space is available in this popular Holiday Basketball Camp held December 21-23 for players ages 5-13.  Residents may register now by calling the Rec at 843-886-8294, and non-residents may register beginning September 13.  Learn the Super Six Self-Improvement Stations which include 5-on-5 play and NBA free throw shooting.
 
Middle School Dances - September 18 and November 13 
Middle School Dance
Celebrate back-to-school with a "luau" at the Middle School Dance for 6th, 7th and 8th graders on September 18 from 7:00-10:00PM.  On November 13, the theme will be "neon glow night."  Tickets will be sold at the door for $5.
 
Youth Soccer
Soccer Clinic
Soccer players ages 9+ can excel in the 3-on-3 soccer tournament at 10:00AM on Saturday, September 19. Players ages 7+ can compete for prizes in a penalty kick accuracy test at 5:30PM on Tuesday, October 13. Participants must pre-register for both of these free events by calling 843-886-8294.
 
 
Wellness Fair Pulse CheckCommunity Wellness Fair September 17
Come to the Recreation Center from 7:00AM-12:00PM on Thursday, September to participate in the Community Wellness Fair.  Local residents may make an appointment by calling 843-884-7031 to have fasting bloodwork completed for a cost of $25.  Health care professionals and specialists will be available for free screenings and information on all aspects of health and fitness.

IOP Connector Run and Walk for the Child

Ready to walk or run to support the local prevention of child abuse and other child-related programs?  Register for the 17th Annual Isle of Palms Connector Run and Walk for the Child, starting at 8:00AM on Saturday, October 3. The race features beautiful marsh and ocean views. Click here to view photos of last year's event.  Be aware that from 7:00-10:00AM on October 3, the Connector and portions of Palm Boulevard will be closed to vehicular traffic.
 
Auditions SignOpen Auditions for Our Town
No experience necessary! On Monday, October 19, adult and youth actors are invited to the Isle of Palms Recreation Center to audition for the play Our Town, written by Thorton Wilder, directed by Jimmy Ward and presented by the Isle of Palms Recreation Center and the Crabpot Players.  Ages 7-10 will audition from 6:30-7:00PM and ages 11+ will audition from 7:00-9:00PM.  Carpenters, sounds and light engineers, make-up artists and costume designers are also needed.  Mark your calendar for performances on December 9-12.
