Marina Market
Marina Sign
If you have been to the
Isle of Palms Marina lately, you noticed that the store is closed and undergoing renovations. The City is pleased to have a new tenant, Marina Market, for the store. They plan a resident-friendly market that will meet the community's marine needs. We look forward to the grand opening sometime in March or April!

The City has been working diligently to prepare for a beach renourishment project to address the erosion crisis on the north end of the island. The Mayor has testified in front of Charleston County Council and the State Senate Finance Sales and Income Taxation Subcommittee in an attempt to secure funding and favorable legislation. Both sessions resulted in unanimous votes of support for the City of Isle of Palms. The City is also working with OCRM to finalize our Local Comprehensive Beach Management Plan, an important document that articulates the City's plans for protecting the beach and makes the City eligible for state grants. We are optimistic about the next steps for this renourishment project. Watch our website and this newsletter for updates.

Construction to Start on 21st Avenue Beach Access
The City is excited to begin this project, which will improve the beach access at 21st Avenue to become compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Folks who need a little extra space to maneuver will soon be able to access the beach at 21st Avenue. Construction is slated to begin in February and end by April.
