Water Safety
Fire Department Sign
As you enjoy the water this beach season, the Isle of Palms Fire Department offers these safety tips:

1) Always tell people where you are going on the beach and in the water.

2) Keep track of everyone - especially children.

3) Have a designated meeting place in case anyone from your group gets seperated.

4) Swim in pairs.

5) Avoid jellyfish. If you are stung, go to Fire Station 1 at #30 J.C. Long Boulevard or Fire Station 2 at #44 Forty-first Avenue for treatment.  In extreme cases, call 911.
