The Recreation Department is proud to offer something for everyone - no matter what your age, fitness level or interests. Spend some time on the Recreation Department web page to get complete information on all the offerings. Among the most popular are the Keenager program, a social group for folks over age 55, Total Body Challenge, a complete fitness class, and Line Dancing for adults or youths.

Spring Break Science Camp
Students ages 6 through 10 can turn their Spring Breaks into a thrilling science adventure. Each day of the week of March 24 - 28 will feature instruction and fun experiments on a different theme: Plantimal, H2OK, Super Sun, Let's Rock and Air with Flair. Call the Recreation Center at 886-8294 to register. Campers must bring a bag lunch and their imaginations!

Welcome to the first Recreation Edition of the City of Isle of Palms E-Newsletter. In this edition, you will find information on our facilities, special events and upcoming classes. We hope to see you soon at the Rec! 
 
Easter BunnyEaster Egg Hunt 

Come hippity-hop with the Easter Bunny at the Isle of Palms Recreation Center on Saturday, March 22 at 10:00 a.m.  Everyone 12 years old or younger is welcome to join in a great big Easter Egg Hunt. Don't be late. The hunt starts "quick like a bunny". The festivities will include plenty of candy, snow cones, jump castles and pony rides.
Register Now for the Annual Yard Sale 
 
Annual Yard Sale

Vendor spaces are going fast for the Annual Yard Sale, which will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 19. If you have "like new" items to sell, email Trish Perrine or call 886-8294 to reserve your spot. Vendor spaces cost $5 and must be reserved by Tuesday, April 15. Mark your calendar for a great day of recycled shopping.
 
Recreation Facilities
Recreation FacilitiesHave you been to the Recreation Center lately? If not, you will find it at 24 Twenty-eighth Avenue. If so, then you already know how much the beautiful facilities have to offer. "The Rec" has an off-leash Bark Park, basketball courts, a softball field, a baseball field, a soccer field, tennis courts, playgrounds and a picnic shelter. Inside the building, please take advantage of the cardio room, gymnasium and lending library of books. Visit the Recreation page on the City's web site to read more about the department and contact the staff.
