16th Annual Convention & Trade Show Approaching

Final details and agenda are coming together for the convention and trade show at the Hyatt Regency Riverwalk in San Antonio Sept 16, 17, 18, 2010.  This is perfect time of the year to visit San Antonio and to enjoy the association of industry friends and peers.

This is a very popular time of the year in San Antonio and even though we have blocked
several hundred rooms I suggest contacting the Hyatt Regency as soon as possible to make your reservations since our block of rooms at the convention rate of $169.00 will expire to "space available" on August 17th.

Important Results From FIANA Training Center Survey

survey.150.jpgSeveral weeks ago, FIANA/BlueVolt e-mailed to approx 500 current participants of the training program, a simple multiply-choice survey requesting information on the participant and the benefits of the training program.  We received an impressive 28% response.  The results truly show the importance of education and the acceptance of this type of education using the internet. Following is a recap of the results:

Question:   How many years have you been in the industry?

Answer:    68% have been in the industry 11 + years
                22% have been in the industry 5 - 10 years

Question:   How frequently do discuss or recommend products and their applications?    

Answer:     46%  5 + times a day
                 35.5%  2-4 times a day

Question:   Do your customers rely on you to recommend products or manufacturers?

Answer:     84%  yes I frequently recommend products and manufacturers

Question:   Please rate each benefit for FIANA Training Center (top 3).

Answer:     90.7%   Agree or strongly agree, I would recommend FIANA
                            Training center to others
                 88.9%   Agree or strongly agree, The information I learn in                                FIANA training center me service customers
                            better.            
                 82.4%   Agree or strongly agree, The information I learn in
                            FIANA training center helps me sell more products.

CMH Space Acquires Ellis Flooring Sales

CMH Space Flooring Products, Inc. based in Wadesboro, N.C. has announced the acquisition of Ellis Flooring Sales Company headquartered in Charlotte, N.C. and a division of the Southland Group.

Ellis Flooring Sales Company, a premiere commercial flooring and flooring supply distributor, has successfully serviced the Carolinas and Virginia for over 50 years and will continue to operate as an independent entity and separate commercial division of CMH Space Flooring Products.  Breck Berkey will remain as the President of the Ellis Division.

Hoy Lanning, CMH Space CEO, said the two companies will complement each other.  Ellis has a strong background in commercial flooring and floor covering supplies with 5 branches throughout the Carolinas and CMH Space has a strong residential and commercial following.
Ardex Opens New Plant & Technical Training Facility

Mansfield, TX.  --  ARDEX Engineered Cements, the leading developer , and manufacturer of high performance products for substrate preparation, tile & stone installation, and concrete repair & resurfacing recently opened its new ARDEX Technical Training Center in Mansfield, Texas.

"ARDEX is excited about the ability to further expand our training capabilities," said  Hendrick T. Goller, Director of Technical Services for ARDEX Engineered Cements and The WW Henry Company.  "This new state-of-the-art facility provides us with another strategic  location to deliver our industry leading training programs to customer throughout North America and Latin America.
PFS Professional Flooring Supply Expands In Colorado

pfslogo.150PFS recently expanded in Colorado with a branch in Colorado Springs.  This branch will help service customers in the market along with the current  branch in Denver.
