How about a face mask that is - quite literally good enough to eat?
Here are a couple of luscious recipes for beautiful skin the all natural way.
Cucumber, Avocado & Clay MaskIngredients:1/4 cup cucumber, peeled and chopped
1/4 cup avocado flesh
1 teaspoon sour cream
1 teaspoon plain yoghurt
3 tablespoons coarsely ground rolled oats
4 teaspoons pink clay or other clay
1 tablespoon lime juice
1 teaspooon honey*
1 teaspoon dried lavender buds
Method:1. Puree the cucumber and avocado flesh in a food processor until smooth.
2. Add each of the other ingredients, one at a time in the order shown above and process briefly after each addition.
3. Apply the mask to a clean face and neck, avoiding the eye and mouth areas. Rest for 10 minutes and rinse with warm water. Follow with toner and moisturiser.
Creamy Fruit Whip
Ingredients:
150 grams of fresh fruit chunks, peeled (include pineapple, kiwi fruit, seedless grapes, melons and the like)
25 grams whipping cream
1 teaspoon honey*
15 grams kaolin
1 drop rose essential oil
1 drop sandalwood essential oil
Method:
1. Place mixed fruits in a food processor and blend for approximately 20 seconds, until juicy.
2. Add whipping cream and honey, then blend for another 15 seconds.
3. Take about 4 heaped tablespoons of the mixture and place in a separate bowl. Add the clay and essential oils and stir to make a paste. (You can enjoy the remaining fruit mixture as a tasty dip or ice cream topping.)
4. Apply the mask to a clean face and neck, avoiding the eye and mouth areas. Rest for 10 minutes and rinse with warm water. Follow with toner and moisturiser.

* For a vegan alternative you can use molasses instead of honey - it has some great skincare properties in its own right.
