Our Spring Conference is just one week away...

Framed by the Big Questions you've shared, we're going to discuss how leaders, congregations and Unitarian Universalism at large must adapt to ongoing changes in American culture, demographics, and technology.

It's going to be an exciting day!

Whether via email, Facebook, or personal invitation, please make sure others know about this opportunity to connect, share ideas, and explore our potential. I'm in touch with UU's across the United States via social media.  I know this topic is of great interest.  Who might you invite to attend?

You may REGISTER ONLINE and spread the word by sharing this link:

I look forward to seeing you there.

Open Forums & Workshops

Following the morning worship service we'll have the following workshops and open forums. These will be followed by lunch and our annual meeting.  Read full details on the registration page.

Open Forum on the Big Questions
People have  submitted what they consider to be the "Big Question" we need to explore and learn from in order for Unitarian Universalism to thrive in our region. This facilitated open forum will provide participants an opportunity to discuss these issues.

Facilitated by Peter Bowden, BCD Growth Consultant

How can we meet the needs of children and families in this changing world?
Our society is no longer what it was. Do, or should, our churches just teach religion or should the focus be on developing a child's, youth's or adult's faith in this our changing culture?  And how are we to do what we need to do to have and support a first rate program? This facilitated open forum will provide participants an opportunity to discuss these issues.
Facilitated by Diane Elliott, BCD Religious Professional Development Coach

How can we maintain tradition while managing change?

Unitarian Universalism and our congregations have a fine faith tradition and we also must address changes that are happening around us and in our congregations.  How can we balance the old and the new?  This workshop will explore polarity management, a technique congregations can use to make adaptive changes.
Led by Karen Brammer, Small Church Consultant, Northern New England District

How can we provide pastoral care for a changing population?
Research shows that the population demographics within society and within our churches are changing.  This workshop will focus on a new model to address pastoral care needs in order to have healthy congregations in new times.
Led by Denis Mecham, Community Minister and author of forthcoming Skinner House title on Lay Pastoral Care Training.
