Serving children with special needs is complicated. It is critically important for individuals involved religious education and pastoral care and congregation life in all its aspects to understand the complexities, and stresses families experience with a child with special challenges. Ministering to children with differences helps us to be more creative about ministry to all our children. This workshop will provide basic information to build a welcoming ministry for all families and children and youth.
This workshop is for all congregation members who want their church to be welcoming to all children, regardless of their ways of learning, being, communicating, moving and knowing including:
* religious educators
* teachers
* ministers
* youth advisors
* other lay leaders
* parents
