Greetings!

   This is our 1st AAOF Newsletter!!!!   It is going out to 14,000 O&P Industry individuals.  Next month, it will only go to AAOF Membership.  

    The American Association of Orthotic Fitters was conceived to provide you, the orthotic fitter, with a new professional organization that is geared directly to your needs.   Most of our communication with you will be via the web.   you will receive an info packed web newsletter, once a month, that will contain articles and videos on new products, patient care info, government regulations and industry & organizational news.  The AAOF website, www.aaofusa.org (the new version is still under construction) will provide a forum to air your concerns and seek professional wisdom from your colleagues. 

 You don't have to be a Certified Fitter to join the AAOF.   The AAOF will provide initial Orthotic Fitter courses in Las Vegas, Atlanta & Chicago in the next few months.

   It will be the our mission to protect and expand your scope of practice through educational opportunities and working with other organizations.    We hope to have a robust online experience with 100's of learning video's and home study programs. 

    The new medical economic environment predicts that patients will be using more off-the-shelf bracing than ever before.   The AAOF will be the organization that helps you stay ahead of the curve so you can provide better service to your patients and referring physicians.    

    But we can't do any of this without your help.  This is a membership organization.  We can't do anything without you first becoming a member.  Please consider renewing or joining the AAOF.   We have tried to make it an easy financial decision by providing your needed continuing education with 8+ CE available free every year.   Now it is up to you.
