It all starts at home!

Join Habitat's photo petition, "It all starts at home."

When it comes to a family's well-being, it all starts at home.
We know that a simple, decent home is the foundation on which a family can build their lives. People who live in decent shelter feel safer and healthier, and their children are more likely to advance in education.

Remind President Obama that "it all starts at home." Take a photo of yourself, your friends or your family holding a sign that says "It all starts at home." Add your picture to Habitat's photo petition.  Click to continue >>

Support Habitat with RecycleBank

RecycleBank LogoRecycleBank is a rewards program that dramatically increases household recycling rates across the country by rewarding families and individuals with RecycleBank Points for the amount they recycle every day.  For those of you who live in a community participating in the RecycleBank rewards program, you can now use your Points to support our work!  RecycleBank members can redeem their Points for coupons at the Habitat Home Store or for real dollar donations to Habitat for Humanity of Anderson County! Help Build It!
Volunteer Receptionist
We are in great need of a few volunteers willing to commit to a couple hours a week in the office.  Tasks focus on answering phones and greeting guests with folding and stuffing as needed.  Pleasant phone etiquette is a must and training is provided.

Habitat Home Store Cashier
Join our cashier crew!  If you like to talk to people and have basic math and computer skills then this is a good way to put your passion for Habitat to work.  Volunteers must provide a list of references and training is provided.

If you're interested in either of these volunteer opportunities, contact Amanda Walters at volunteer@hfhac.org or 482-7713.  Look forward to hearing from you!!
Office Hours Change
ClockJust a reminder that we have changed our office hours in an effort to reduce energy consumption.  The Habitat office hours are Tuesday through Friday 9am to 5pm.  This will not impact the store's hours.  The Habitat Home Store will continue to be open to the public Tuesday through Friday 9:30am to 5:30pm and Saturday 9am to 2pm.
Thank you for helping build simple, decent housing in Anderson County!

Best Wishes,

Jennifer Hancock
