Homeownership's Impact on Education 

Homeownership is a power tool in unlocking a family's potential. It can especially impact the lives of the children living in the homes. At Habitat for Humanity of Anderson County, we have seen how owning a home has changed the lives of our more than 50 families. To show how it can contribute to breaking the cycle of poverty by positively impacting a child's education, we've compiled a few key findings from several studies on the impact of homeownership on educational outcomes. Ecumenical Build 
Building on Faith
This summer, we are launching an Ecumenical Build to finish the remaining two houses at the Hickory Ridge Subdivision near Clinton.  Ecumenical Build is an opportunity for faith communities to come together to build simple, decent housing.  Informational meetings will be held June 9.  Get your congregation involved by contacting me at jennifer@hfhac.org or by calling 482-7713.  Click for more information >>

Car Wash benefiting Habitat
Mark your calendars for June 6!  Habitat volunteers will be hosting a benefit car wash at Advance Auto Parts located at 1399 Oak Ridge Turnpike in Oak Ridge.  Stop by that day between 8am and 2pm and get your car washed with a donation to Habitat for Huamanity of Anderson County.
Newspaper Recycling Discontinued
