GOLD $1049.20 OZ
SEEDS .01
Greetings!
On my way to work on Friday morning, I was listening to news radio and an ad came on that said, don't put your money in gold and silver, put it in seeds. Wow, did that get my attention! If that was true, I would be a millionaire , NOT! But there is some validity to this claim. This company is selling Non-Hybrid or Heirloom Seeds as survival kits. Believe it or not, that part can be true! The only thing is, you don't have to pay them that outrageous price to do what Hydro Harvest Farms does everyday, and you can do everyday for way less!
Why non-hybrid? Why insist on using ONLY non-hybrid (open pollinated) seeds instead of hybrid varieties?
Seed varieties are being bred for many, many reasons. Typically for disease and pest resistance, looks, transportability and other commercial criteria. Nutritional content is simply not one of the primary or typical criteria of the "hybridization" movement. Profit is. Unfortunately, as a consumer of produce you have no way of knowing whether your hybrid produce has high, medium or low nutritional content unless you take more accountability for the source. That means know your farmers or grow your own food! When you grow open pollinated (non-hybrid and heirloom) varieties you are growing original strains with much higher nutritional content than varieties that have been bred for color, storability, portability, etc.
Many of the plants growing in our gardens are Non Hybrid, Heirloom varieties. We don't advertise the prices for our U-Pick food, because we don't think we compare with the Grocery chains. We keep our prices at very low and reasonable rates, but the value of our food surpasses what you can ordinarily pick up at the store or at a roadside stand.
Thanks For Picking Us!
