We're here! The season of great beginnings is back. The fall strawberry planting time is so much fun. I think we all have strawberry roots. You can't help but cherish the feeling of planting something, watching it grow, gather all of the kids and folks who love to pick and then biting into that big juicy strawberry. When you experience this, then you can understand the importance of the backbone of our country, the family farm. Only you can make a difference in the viable and economic health of our local farmers. Ask at the restaurant where you eat, do you buy your food locally? Ask at the grocery store, do you buy local? Maybe everything they carry isn't, because it is not in season locally, but if the seasonal produce for your local area is not from your local farms, then these business are doing all of us an injustice. Your local farmer is your neighbor. They care about your community and they give back to thier community. Support them. In the long run you will be healthier, and your community will be healthier.

We have started planting our strawberries, how about you? You know how much you love these little sweet treats and the kids love picking them. Honestly we welcome your visits to pick ours at the farm, picking our fields. But, why not grow them yourself? Growing strawberries in our Hydroponic Systems is so easy and fool proof! Come on down to the farm and ask us all about it. We have everything you need in stock, all year round. But, the strawberries are here now and a perfect way to develop a green thumb you thought you didn't have.
We also have other vegetables and seeds ready for planting. All of our veggies are grown without using any chemical pesticides. |

DONATE A PUMPKIN FOR THE CHILDREN TO PAINT
The 4th Annual Hydro Harvest BOO Fest is coming up. We anticipate a bunch of kids all dressed up in costumes ready to paint thier pumpkins. In the past we have managed to do it all, with a few neighbor kids, friends and family.But to tell you the truth, I think we will need HELP this year. If you would like to donate your time to help us out on BOO Fest Day October 24, from 10.00-4.00 we would love to have you! Just show up and let us know that you want to help! Maybe you know a church group who would like to help. We take everyone, all ages, we will find something for you to do!
If you have some art and paint supplies, drop them by the farm anyday. We need brushes, paints (non toxic), glitter, glue, construction paper, ribbon, small unopened gifts for prizes. We'll take anything. The more the better for the children.
If you can't donate time or supplies, we are collecting $1.00 to help buy the pumpkins that we give away free for the kids that day. When you stop by the farm in the next couple of weeks donate a dollar and we will put your name on the Pumpkin Board. On Boo Fest Day, we will have the board so everyone can see the fine folks who helped to make and keep this Free Event possible.
Or, if you like, you can  and we will put your name on the pumpkin board for display.
The Pumpkin Patch and Boo Fest has been such an overwhelming success. The kids just love it. To tell you the truth, the parents do too. We have pumpkin painting contests, crafts, games and prizes. A special treat this year will be Home Depot and thier wonderful folks. They will have a great Kid's Workshop where the children can build flower boxes and other neat things. The kids get to hammer and everything!
