| GREETINGS |  During this month as we honor Love in our lives and within our hearts, may we practice the love of self as the basis of love of others. If we do not truly love and nurture ourselves, we are not able to offer our best to others. It is not selfish to nurture ourselves. In fact it is the greatest giving to others because we actually have something to give. Every day this month may we discover and distill a sense of self-love in every aspect of our lives.
May we be mindful that Valentine's Day is not just for lovers, husbands and wives. It is for those who dearly touch our lives. This month especially, remember to take take the opportunity to tell all of those you hold dear how important they are in your life. In addition, as we honor the love within our hearts and within our lives, may we also be open enough to be able to love all that our life's journey brings us. May we honor and accept each circumstance as we are led along our life's path.

As you go about your day today and for the rest of this month, remember this...
This day in particular, I remember that my very nature is Love. When I am challenged in any way, I know that the answer is always in loving more fully. When I fear, I remember that perfect love casts out fear. When I doubt, I return my attention to the truth: that love is big enough to embrace even my doubt, making it...and me...whole.
This power of love is what heals. It is the power that causes growth and change and evolution and transformation; and its at work in me today. I set the clear intention to remove the barriers from my heart, that I may love more fully, live more completely. I forgive wherever forgiveness is called for, and I include myself in that reckoning. I call upon this power of love without hesitation, and without delay.
I open my life to relationships that are passionate, loving and joyful, and I see this reflected everywhere. I allow my own inner nature, my true natural state, to hold sway and to love all creation. The result of this: a life that is lived in joy, at peace and at one; a life that is truly worth living. I give thanks for the lawful nature of this universe that now reveals this love in all that I do, say and think. And I know that it is wonderful.
And so it is.

I RESCUED A HUMAN TODAY.....WITH LOVE

Her eyes met mine as she walked down the corridor peering apprehensively into the kennels. I felt her need instantly and I knew I had to help her. I wagged my tail, not too exuberantly, so she wouldn't be afraid.
As she stopped at my kennel, I blocked her view from a little accident I had in the back of my cage. I didn't want her to know that I hadn't been walked today. Sometimes the shelter keepers get too busy and I didn't want her to think poorly of them.
As she read my kennel card I hoped that she wouldn't feel sad about my past. I only have the future to look forward to and want to make a difference in someone's life.
She got down on her knees and made little kissy sounds at me. I shoved my shoulder and side of my head up against the bars to comfort her. Gentle fingertips caressed my neck; she was desperate for companionship.
A tear fell down her cheek and I raised my paw to assure her that all would be well. Soon my kennel door opened and her smile was so bright that I instantly jumped into her arms. I would promise to keep her safe. I would promise to always be by her side. I would promise to do everything I could to see that radiant smile and sparkle in her eyes. I was so fortunate that she came down my corridor. So many more are out there who haven't walked the corridors. So many more to be saved. At least I could save one.
