Good-bye Summer...Hello Fall!

It is hard to believe that it is already September.  Change is in the air.  Now is the time we begin to harvest all that creative energy we put out in the summer.  We notice the gradual shift into shorter daylight hours.  The leaves are starting to turn color.  We see a transition as kids go back to school.  Many people are experiencing significant changes in their lives...new homes, new relationships, health issues, etc.

The message, a reminder really, that I have for you and for me during this time is to remain fully in the Present, no matter what is going on.  So if you catch yourself in Joy, surrender to and enjoy the moment.  If you are in challenge, surrender to and accept the moment.  That is, after all, all that we have.  Tomorrow becomes our new Today.  Today becomes our yesterday.  Honor and cherish each Today...each Moment...each Now.  Now is where Life happens.

                                      Enjoy each Now moment.

STAYING IN THE PRESENT MOMENT
flag
..
Even in our most challenging moments, we are advised to take a breath and remember who we are. No matter what is occurring, we are eternal souls. No matter what challenges we face, we are connected to the source of all life, and all abundance. No matter what pains we feel, these are simply areas where we don't remember that by staying within the moment with what is, we can choose acceptance and peace.

There are times when it seems that life is unbearably challenging. There are times when life is overwhelming. There are times when we are not sure how we will handle all the things we must accomplish and all the challenges that present in our lives. When we find ourselves in one of these moments, we are to breathe, relax and talk to our Higher Power asking for clarity, courage, strength and peace. Then we are to ask ourselves, "What must I deal with right now, in This moment?" By being present, we are more effective, more attuned to guidance, more able to deal with the task and events at hand.

There are times when our lives are unbelievably beautiful and joyful. These are the times to sit, breathe, and be in gratitude for the blessings in our lives.   When we are in such deep gratitude we do not allow our mind wander out to the future and wonder how long or if the joy will last. Accept it, receive it, breathe it in. Be one with it now.

Living in the present moment is the only way we can ever truly 'deal with' or 'enjoy' life. Allowing our mind to wander to the past, except to learn its lessons, is a waste of time. Allowing our mind to wander to the future, except to intend the next creation, is also a way of distracting ourselves from the moment. Whether we are in challenge or in joy, the moment we have now is the one to embrace. We will more quickly deal with our challenges, and more deeply enjoy our joys.

Be present. That is where the present of God's love is found most fully.  Please click on the link below and watch a movie that reflects my prayer for you today...May You Be Blessed.

CHANGE & NEW BEGINNINGS
FLOWER RED by Marcie Shimoff

It seems as though everyone I know is going through some significant change in their life right now.

Are there new beginnings in your life, too? Is your child going off to kindergarten, or are you a recent empty-nester? Are you starting a new relationship or ending a relationship and facing life on your own again? Is there a change in your job status or a shift in your health?

Or maybe you wish you could make a change but are feeling a little stuck. What new beginning would you embark on to bring more happiness into your life if only you could make the leap?

I'm in the midst of some new beginnings in my life. I'm noticing I have two choices in how I approach them: I can either resist the changes or be open to what's ahead and feel the peace that "all is well in the universe." When I lean into the latter, I feel excited about the future.

As you face your new beginnings, consider this helpful three-step process:
Clear and cleanse: Shift out old energy. Reorganize your home or office space, and give away things you no longer need. On a physical level do a healthy body cleanse. On a mental/emotional level examine and release any limiting beliefs. Letting go of the old creates a feeling of spaciousness, allowing room for something new to enter.

Embrace the new: Whatever change is before you, when you open to the unknown (even the discomfort), you welcome in growth, revelation, and miracles. Imagine what is possible from this place.

Be open to support: During times of transition, you may feel like retreating within, hiding your inner work from the outer world. However, seeking support from a friend, family member or support group is one of the keys to graceful change. It'll help promote a smooth ride to your new reality.
