Charity Auction
moccasin flower vase
EFP has donated a special vase to the Angel's Wish online auction again this year. It is an experimental version of our Moccasin Flower Vase in a one-of-a-kind glaze combination. Angel's Wish is a great organization in our area that helps mainly homeless cats, and some dogs, find their furever homes. The online auction is their main fundraiser, and all proceeds help the animals in their care. On top of that, the auction is fun! It's easy to register, and most items can be shipped. Please check it out and help us help the animals!

Greetings! ,

Welcome to the latest issue of News & Notes. June is a month of new beginnings here at Ephraim Pottery: new pottery, new tiles, and a new store in California, just to name a few new things. You can read about these below.

Jennifer and Morgan
One of our employees recently celebrated a new beginning of her own. Glazer Jennifer Grelk got married last weekend in a beautiful outdoor ceremony. We wish Jennifer and her husband, Morgan, all the best in this exciting new chapter in their life together.

If you're in Wisconsin or California this summer, we hope you'll visit our galleries. We've got a great selection of pottery and tile in both of our stores, so you're sure to find something you like.

Happy Summer!

Sincerely,
Kristin

June catalog to be mailed in about a week

Six new pieces are online now

We are pleased to announce that six new pieces of pottery and three new tiles have been added to our online store. As you can see, the creative juices have been flowing in the Ephraim studio!

In keeping with this year's theme of blending the old and the new, long-time collectors will notice that some familiar themes have been reinterpreted in new ways. We have also added companion pieces to the Sleeping Bear paperweight and Birdwatcher tile.

Experimentation with our new tile line has been ongoing. In an effort to standardize our tile sizes, we have redesigned

new tiles
The new tiles are 3"x6"

the Birdwatcher and Apple Time tiles into a 3" x 6" format. These replace the versions that were introduced earlier this year. This should make it easier to create attractive groupings of compatible tiles in the future. We've also been working on developing frames and stands for our tiles, and standardizing the sizes of the tiles in our line will make that process easier.

A mailer featuring the pottery and tiles that have been introduced since April will be sent to our postal mailing list soon, most likely by the end of next week. Those of you who have received catalogs in past years will notice that older pieces are not shown in the mailer. In order to give each new piece the attention it deserves, we have chosen to feature the new pieces exclusively. All of the previously introduced pieces that are still available are viewable on ephraimpottery.com.

And speaking of ephraimpottery.com, those of you who are familiar with our online store will notice that the names of some of the collections/groupings have changed. We hope that these more transparent names make it easier for both long-time and new customers to find pieces that they're looking for.

We hope you enjoy the new work from our studio!

Ephraim Pottery West to open next week

Cambria, California is home to our second gallery

Main Street in Cambria, California, home of Ephraim Pottery West

The remodeling is complete, the furniture is in place, and the shelves are stocked with pottery and tile. There are just a few more loose ends to tie up before Ephraim Pottery West, our new gallery in Cambria, California, is ready to welcome customers. At this time, we anticipate being able to open early next week. We will send an email and make an announcement on our Facebook page when our doors open to the public. We will also update the Our California Gallery page of our website with the store hours at that time.

Some of you have asked if we will be having a grand opening celebration. The answer to that is "yes," but not immediately. We will be having a "soft opening" now, and a grand opening a bit later in the year, most likely this fall. Of course we will post an announcement in all the usual places (website, Facebook, email) when we have a date firmed up.

Located at 728 Main Street in Cambria, the new gallery will carry our full line of pottery and tile and the occasional second or irregular. Experimental pieces will be added to the inventory later this year. We are also featuring furniture by Voorhees Craftsman and textiles by Archive Edition. We will also be featuring paintings by local artists. Those offerings will change periodically, as we will be inviting different artists to show and sell their work in our gallery.

As you can see, there will be a lot going on at Ephraim Pottery West! If you live in California or are traveling in the area, we hope you will stop in Cambria and pay us a visit. We look forward to welcoming you!
