November 2-5 at Cable Nature Lodge
Pampering from head to toes. Exceptional dining. Live music. Health and wellness activities to nurture your body, mind, and spirit. It's all part of the Perfect Getaway Spa Weekend, November 2-5, at Cable Nature Lodge and the Rookery Pub.
Among the relaxing and rejuvenating spa and wellness sessions being offered are several styles of massage including deep tissue neuromuscular therapy, Hawaiian Lomi Lomi massage, and hot stone massage. Other innovative spa services to choose from include facial massage, foot reflexology, Far Infra Red and Chi energy therapies with movement and meditation, Asian Bodywork Shiatsu, Qigong and Reiki energy healing, and holistic nutrition coaching targeting weight loss, mood enhancing and digestive health.
What should make the spa weekend particularly appealing to northwest Wisconsin residents and visitors is the wide range of services being offered at one convenient location by a diverse team of skilled practitioners. Most of these health and wellness professionals are based in the Twin Cities, where the market for their services can be $80 an hour or more, much higher than the package price being offered to participants at the special Cable event.
According to retreat organizer and Twin Cities reflexologist, Sally Ann Noel, the spa weekend at Cable Nature Lodge is an excellent opportunity to learn firsthand about holistic and main stream health and wellness resources available to Wisconsin and Minnesota residents.
"If you make good health a top priority, or would like to get started," says Noel, "what better way than to enjoy a special spa treatment or attend a new class or workshop in your own back yard? You'll find the packages for our spa and wellness weekend to be affordable and inviting to anyone wanting to experience new ways to beat stress and the winter blahs just around the corner."
The weekend retreat is available as a day package on either Saturday or Sunday, with a choice of two 75-minute spa services and a $25 credit at Rookery Pub Fine Dining for $149. Or participants may opt for a one or two night package including two spa services, additional health and wellness activities, dining credit, and overnight accommodations at Cable Nature Lodge beginning at $199 for double occupancy. Advance reservations for both day and overnight packages are required.
Weekend activities also include live music on Saturday, November 3 by noted Stillwater, MN singer-songwriter Thea Ennen and her partner, Dave Ja Vue. The duo performs mostly original rootsy-folkgrass, traditional bluegrass, and atmospheric ballads inspired by the Midwestern landscape, seasons, and relationships. Their performance runs from 5-8 PM at the Rookery and is open to workshop participants, as well as the general public, at no charge.
