Performing Live at the Rookery this Sunday
In my enthusiasm to get the word out to our loyal email subscribers about this week's "Danger" filled Sunday at the Rookery, pardon me for dredging up a bit of 1960s TV trivia in this week's subject line. If you caught the reference then you're probably a latish Baby Boomer like me. And if you didn't, well just click the link above for a brief clip of the swell early television that you missed.
So what's this all got to do with this weekend's entertainment? Not much. Unless, that is, you're the first person to arrive on Sunday afternoon who can correctly name the show in question. In which case your first beverage is on us!
But even if you haven't a clue you'd still be advised to arrive early on Sunday. Because Molly and the boys always bring out a crowd. And with a long-range forecast for mostly clear and a high around 70 degrees, it's looking to be a picture perfect weekend for live outdoor music.
Molly and the Danger Band is a uniquely Americana band...blending rock, country, jazz, and bluegrass, along with a twist of Irish. From classic covers, traditional and original music, no matter what you call it, you're bound to have a good time.
We suggest arriving by 1 PM for the best seating. The Rookery grill fires up at 1:30 and the music begins at 2. Last time the Danger Band performed here all seats were filled by 3, so if you can't get here early it's a good idea to bring along a few lawn chairs unless you're prepared to stand.
The Rookery's Summer Sunday Serenades are scheduled EVERY Sunday afternoon right through the end of September. All performances are free, though gratuities for the musicians are most appreciated. For the most up to date schedule of all performances check out our online music calendar.
Molly and the Danger Band. Sunday. Live. Outdoors. And only at the Rookery!
