Performing Live at the Rookery this Sunday
I know. It looks more like a trio. Right?
But rest assured the missing member is expected to be found in time for Sunday's live outdoor performance on the Rookery stage.
The Not Just Jazz Quartet hails from the LaCrosse/Winona area and is made up of some of the best musicians in the tri-state area, playing instruments such as piano, bass, trumpet, and drums. Their extensive repetoire includes Jazz standards, Broadway show tune classics, and Pop favorites, depending upon the wishes of their audience. Stacy Hughes, who has sung professionally throughout Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Iowa for the past twenty-five years, brings her expressive vocals to the group, adding her warm interpretation to the outstanding instrumental stylings.
It's sure to be another fun weekend of live music at the Rookery. And once again the weather promises to be perfect for live outdoor music. The current forecast is for partly cloudy with a high of 67 to 72 degrees and just a 20 percent chance of isolated rain showers. In which case we always have the tent!
Our patio grill fires up at 1:30, and the music runs from 2 to 5. Plan to arrive early, because seating is limited and on a first come-first served basis.
The Rookery's Summer Sunday Serenades are scheduled EVERY Sunday afternoon (plus Labor day) through the end of September...17 live outdoor concerts in all. All performances are free, though gratuities for the musicians are most appreciated. For the most up to date schedule of all performances check out our online music calendar.
Not Just Jazz Quartet. This Sunday. Live. Outdoors. Only at the Rookery!
