It's one of the Rookery's most highly anticipated fresh fish specials. And probably the most unique. Chef Mike's presentation of this deep red sashimi-quality meat continues to inspire the allegiance of ahi aficionados...many of whom claim it's the best they've eaten anywhere, including Hawaii.
Fresh ahi tuna pan seared (to rare or medium rare) with a ginger rice cake and asparagus shiitake salad and finished with a spicy chili aioli sauce. This weekend (Thursday until it sells out...call ahead to reserve). Only at the Rookery!

Performing Live at the Rookery this Sunday
We're very pleased to be welcoming an all-new performer to the Rookery stage this weekend. Well, new to the Rookery that is.
Davey J actually is a 20-year veteran on the creative music scene in Wisconsin and Minnesota. His live shows feature down-home singing and songwriting and a very distinctive sound of acoustic-electric guitar that everyone in the house can feel. His musical repertoire ranges from blues to rock and roll, reggae, and roots music. CLICK HERE to preview a few of his songs.
In 2011 Davey J released his fourth music CD, Hippie Child, and he continues to perform all over Western Wisconsin with his blues-rock combo, The Jones Tones. In addition to his music gigs, Davey holds down a day job as Associate Professor of English and Women's Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
The Rookery's Summer Sunday Serenades are scheduled each Sunday afternoon (plus Labor day) from 2-5 PM, with patio grill dining beginning at 1:30. Plan to arrive early, because seating is limited and on a first come-first served basis. All performances are free, though gratuities for the musicians are most appreciated. For a full schedule of performances check out our online music calendar.
