Music Buddies Mentorship Program
Accepting applications through October 15 at Music Buddies Orientation
[Download Application]

AYP, AYSO, and AYCO Musicians (8th grade and older) are invited to attend the Music Buddies Orientation on Monday, October 15, 5:30 p.m. at Langley High School to find out details about this year's program. Director Laura Cahn will give an informational session followed by the official introduction to the program and a Q&A session.

AYPO Musicians from TJHHST who are interested in applying, but worried about
the time commitment, should know that lessons can take place Fridays
until 6:00 p.m. at George Washington Middle School (8 miles away).

Music Buddies is a peer-to-peer musical training opportunity providing private music instruction to disadvantaged students in the region. AYPO musicians have the opportunity to mentor these students on their instruments on a weekly basis. Mentors attend monthly training sessions with a professional educator in order to learn how to teach music to children. Mentoring is a way for young musicians to gain valuable hands-on teaching experience while enriching the lives of fellow musicians.
