works so well with our musicians, both as conductor and educator, and will be a wonderful asset to the AYPO program," said Margaret Adams, President of the AYPO Board of Directors. Mr. Spalding will conduct the final AYP concert of this season on Sunday, June 6, 2010 - don't miss his inaugural concert as Music Director of AYPO!

 

Thank you to all members of the AYPO family for your input during our search process. We especially thank Music Director Emeritus, Luis Haza, for his help in the search for a new Music Director and for his 25 years of dedication and service to AYPO.

Woo Lae Oak Korean restaurant of Tysons Corner. The event featured the early announcement & introduction of AYPO's new Music Director, Daniel Spalding! The fun-filled evening began with cocktail hour - appetizers, music by the AYP Waterfront Quartet, and a slideshow presentation - continued with traditional Korean BBQ coooked table side, and rounded out with dessert, a speech from an AYPO scholarship recipient, and the official "passing of the baton" from Music Director Emeritus Luis Haza to the new Music Director, Daniel Spalding (pictured left). AYPO thanks everyone who attended the event and for supporting AYPO's educational programs!
