It's a New Season for the Music Buddies and Chamber Ensemble Programs

Music BuddiesAYPO encourages its students to participate in one or both of the educational programs offered as members, in addition to the orchestra experience. Members of AYP, AYSO, and AYCO are able to mentor musicians in the public school system once a week for the school year through the Music Buddies Mentorship Program. They build relationships, learn how to teach music, and gain knowledge about their own methods of muscianship.

Members from all four orchestras have the opportunity to sign up to be in a chamber ensemble consisting of three, four, or five musicians from the string, brass, or woodwind sections. Students do not audition for these places; they are placed according to availibility of instrument types as well as placement in the orchestras.

Click here to submit an online application for one or both of these rewarding programs!

Support AYPO when you shop!

When you purchase grocery certificates from AYPO and use them like cash to purchase groceries, 5% of the purchase is donated to AYPO! For example,  $100 worth of certificates buys $100 of groceries so AYPO would receive $5. Grocery certificates are available for Giant Food, Magruders and Shoppers Food Warehouse.

Thank you for your continued support of AYP Orchestras! Be sure to check the AYPO website in the fall for the 2007-2008 concert season schedule!
