You are invited to an Irish afternoon delight: music performed by the Washington Conservatory traditional Irish music faculty - Tina Eck (Irish wooden flute), Keith Carr (Irish bouzouki), and Jesse Winch (bodhran/drum). These wonderful musicians will play Irish tunes and demonstrate their instruments.

Come learn the history and teaching style of this mostly oral Irish tradition, and hear rousing examples of Irish jigs, reels, and hornpipes as played at pub sessions and for dances throughout Ireland and in the US!

This Irish Music program is part of a 3-day weekend of music, art, & dance special events at Glen Echo Park. Approximately one hour.

The musicians will be available to answer your questions about Irish Music classes at Glen Echo Park.
