About J. Jordan Bruns:
Artist J. Jordan Bruns wants to give back. Friday's music & art event is his way to do that. "In 2007 I had a brain tumor, Cushing's Disease, and had surgery at the NIH where I was a lab rat for over a month. It did save my life, and to give back to the NIH, I created this Evening with the Arts."
Bruns is a visual resident artist at Glen Echo Park, occupying a studio on the second and third floors of the Chautauqua Tower. His current work focuses on the cycle of growth and destruction that occurs in humanity. His catalyst for the metaphor is derived largely from his personal experiences, while his imagery resulted from living and working in Florence. Jordan's work has been viewed across the United States, and is currently on exhibit at Longview Gallery in Washington, DC. (www.jjbruns.com )
