Ramos-Santana, a native of Puerto Rico, performs a wide and diverse repertoire
while being an acknowledged master of Spanish Music. He has appeared as a
soloist with such major orchestras as the New York Philharmonic, Royal
Philharmonic Orchestra of London, Detroit Symphony, Saint Louis Symphony,
Baltimore Symphony, San Antonio Symphony, Rochester Philharmonic, 92nd Street Y
Orchestra, The New York Virtuosi, Casals Festival Orchestra, Puerto Rico
Symphony, and the orchestras of New Mexico, Sioux City, Utah, and Syracuse,
among others.
A top prize winner of the Gina Bachauer International Piano Competition, he has
performed extensively in the United States, Latin America, Europe, and the Far
East.

Cellist Alisa
Weilerstein is internationally renowned as one of the premiere soloists and
chamber musicians of her generation. She has appeared with many prestigious
ensembles, among them the orchestras of Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Cleveland,
Minnesota, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh,
and San
Francisco, as well as the New York Philharmonic and
National Symphony Orchestra. An ECHO "Rising Star" and alumna of Lincoln Center
Chamber Music Society II, she has performed as recitalist and chamber musician
in many of the world's top concert halls and festivals. Her highly praised debut
recording was released on EMI classics and she was the recipient of an Avery
Fisher Career Grant.
Performing in the master class will be Philip Kettler and Emilia
McManus,
high school students of Drew
Owen at the Washington Conservatory, and Alex
Glaubitz, a
student of David Hardy at the Peabody
Institute of the John Hopkins University. They will perform movements of concertos by Lalo,
Elgar, and Dvorak.

Columbia and Maryland) and in Glen Echo Park, in Glen Echo, MD. With our
