Josh_Bayer_MainTwo free concerts by Joshua Bayer Jazz will be presented on Saturday, May 22 at 7:00 pm and 8:30 pm at the Washington Conservatory of Music at Glen Echo Park. Tickets are free, but reservations are suggested. Donations will be accepted at the door.
  

Joshua Bayer Jazz will perform the premiere of a collection of new jazz works composed by Joshua Bayer in the traditions of Count Basie, Thelonious Monk, and J.S. Bach. Guitarist Joshua Bayer will be joined by Paul Carr, saxophone, Chris Battistone, trumpet, Bob Sykes, piano, Steve Novosel, bass, and Dominic Smith, drums.

Honors2010 Washington Conservatory Honors Recital
 
Congratulations to all 21 Honors Recital nominees and to the nine students who were chosen to perform on this year's recital to be held on Saturday, June 5, at 7 pm, at Westmoreland UCC Church. The program will include music for voice, electric guitar, classical guitar, piano, cello, and flute, performed by students 11 to 17 years of age. An audience reception will immediately follow the performance.

The Washington Conservatory is a nationally accredited community music school that serves the greater Metropolitan DC and Bethesda area from two sites: Westmoreland Circle in Bethesda, MD (the border of the District of Columbia and Maryland) and in Glen Echo Park, in Glen Echo, MD. With our exceptional international artist faculty, we offer a personal approach to music for young children, teens, and adults. No audition required.
