Enjoy a one hour concert, appropriate for children and adults, that will include Sonata in F Major by Vivaldi, Fantasy Pieces by Schumann, Sonata for cello and piano by Debussy, and Three Tangos by Piazzolla. Drew Owen Cellist Drew Owen performs with groups including the National Symphony, the Baltimore Symphony, The Washington National Opera, and The Kennedy Center Opera House Orchestra. He performed in the National Symphony's 2009 Asia tour, the Washington National Opera's 2002 Japan Tour, and the Baltimore Symphony's tour of the East and West coasts with Linda Ronstadt. As a member of Vienna's Haydn Synfonietta, he performed throughout Austria, Germany, and France. He was formerly a member and soloist with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra and member of the New Orleans Symphony. Owen received his Bachelor of Music degree from the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati, pursued further studies in Europe, and received his Master of Music degree at the Cleveland Institute of Music. He is currently a faculty member at the Washington Conservatory of Music.
Jeffery Watson Pianist Jeffery Watson has appeared as soloist with the Honduran National Symphony, the Pan American Symphony, the Rosario (Argentina) Chamber Orchestra, and the Kennedy Center Opera House Orchestra with the Kirov Ballet. Dr. Watson was pianist with the internationally acclaimed tango quintet, QuinTango, including performances with Orquesta Sinfonica Sinaloa de las Artes (Mexico), and at Lincoln Center, the Piccolo Spoleto Festival, the U.S. Ambassador's Residence in Buenos Aires, and the International Tango Festival in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. He was associate conductor for the Kennedy Center's award-winning production of Sunday in the Park with George and music director and coach for the Maryland Opera Studio at the University of Maryland. He holds degrees in piano performance from DePauw University, the Eastman School of Music, and the University of Maryland. He is Music Director of the Bowen McCauley Dance Company and is a faculty member at the Washington Conservatory of Music.

Who We Are
The Washington Conservatory is a nationally accredited community music school that serves the greater Metropolitan DC and Bethesda area from two sites: Westmoreland Circle in Bethesda, MD (the border of the District of Columbia and Maryland) and in Glen Echo Park, in Glen Echo, MD. With our exceptional international artist faculty, we offer a personal approach to music for young children, teens and adults. No audition required.
