UNITE HERERally & Vigil for Quail Lodge Workers
Quail Lodge workers are about to face their last day of work - please show your support for them by joining the Rally and Candlelight Vigil this Sunday, Nov 15.

If you can, please bring food or gifts for the workers' families.

Speakers

Dana Kent, M.D. is a family physician who has spent her areer practicing in Monterey County's public clinic and hospital system. She has spent the past 10 years working at the Seaside Family Health Center, where was Clinic Medical Director for 6 years. Dr. Kent served from 1999 to 2009 as a member of the Clinical Quality Improvement Committee of the Central California Alliance for Health, which is Monterey and Santa Cruz Counties' managed Medi-Cal organization.

Adelheid Ebenhoech, M.D. is a family physician, delivering primary care for the past 11 years with two other doctors in their family-owned clinic in Prunedale, California. 

Harry Weis is the CEO of Natividad Medical Center, our safety net hospital, owned by the County of Monterey. Mr. Weis has over 31 years of experience in executive health care administration. He has managed both for-profit and not-for-profit hospitals. He previously served as Director of Wellspring Management Services, LLC, the company contracted to manage Natividad during its time of transition.

Bill, a former professor at the Monterey College of Law and the Monterey Institute of International Studies, was elected in November of last year to represent the 27th District, which includes portions of Monterey, Santa Cruz, and Santa Clara Counties.

Our own Shawn Bagley is campaigning for a spot on the Democratic National Committee, with the success of the Centers For Change as the plank in his platform. Shawn has released viral videos to help spread the word - you can see them here.

The DNC vote takes place at the California Democratic Party's Executive Board meeting in San Diego this weekend.

Shawn, currently the Region 9 Director for the California Democratic Party, wants to make the establishment of Centers For Change a national priority, building on the success of the 2008 election. He has earned the endorsement of state party Vice-Chair Alex Rooker, among many others.
