Stand Up for Health Care Reform - and against Mob Rule - with Sam Farr
The people who profit from our broken health care system are starting to panic. That's why they've been resorting to mob rule tactics, organizing disruptions of congress members' town hall meetings across the country. (Click here for who's behind it and why.)

We need to show that Americans stand for affordable, accessible health care - and for democratic debate, not mob rule.

We need to join Congressman Sam Farr at a town hall meeting:

REMEMBER: Don't be drawn into shouting matches. The way we win the debate is not by sinking to their level. We win by out-numbering them, keeping our cool, and sticking to the issues that matter. That's how we helped President Obama win the election, and that's how we're going to help win health care reform for all.

For more information, contact Rep. Farr's district office at 831-424-2229.

Your Health Care Story
The most compelling reason for change in our healthcare system are the thousands of stories - your stories - of your experiences with it.

A small group of people who met up at the Center for Change got together when Organizing for America called for the Health Care Kickoff in June. Over the next few weeks the group decided they would get together and make a video of their stories.  It is filmed by volunteer Jules Hart of eyegoddess films.

Tell us your story, in print or via video by sending us a message to mystory@montereycountydemocrats.org.

Health Care Reform Primer
With hundreds of millions of dollars spent by lobbyists trying to persuade legislators and all of us that everything is fine with the health care system, hyperbole and misinformation are rampant.

That is why we've pulled together a few good sources of information into a primer:
