- Early Voting
is still available at Monterey County Elections, 1370 B South Main Street, Salinas (in the Nob Hill Shopping Center), Monday 8-5.
- If you vote absentee: Do not mail your ballot. Postmarks do not count! On Monday you can drop it off at the Elections Department in Salinas. On Tuesday, you can drop it off at any polling place in Monterey County. To find a polling place nearest you, go to smartvoter.org.
At the polls: This is the one time we ask you not to fly your Obama or Democratic Party colors. If you do, you may be asked to cover it up. So put a jacket over your Obama shirt and put your No on Prop 8 button in your pocket while you're at the polling site. Once you're outside the 100 foot perimeter around a polling place feel free to show your support for the candidates that you believe in once again. |
It's All Up To You - Make an Obama Victory a Reality!
The 2000 election was decided by an average of just 10 votes per precinct in only three States. This is why we are calling Obama supporters in Swing States today and tomorrow until the polls close, to make sure that every last one of them turns out. We have just one day left to ensure that Barack Obama wins this election. Opinion polls don't vote - people do.
Turning Out the Vote for Obama by Calling Swing States
We have been setting new records in calling Swing States. This past weekend we made more than 14,000 calls to the critical Swing States of Ohio, Florida, and Colorado from Monterey County alone.
Please bring your cellphone, in case we run out of landlines.
If you bring 1 friend to our phonebank we double our capacity.
We have drop-in phone banks at all three campaign headquarters.

All events are free and open to the general public. No tickets are required.
