FIRST FRIDAY REPORT

Monthly Report on the Pickens County YMCA

June 2010
This coming Monday, June 7th at 3:00pm.

At this time, a procession of Marine veterans and active duty personnel will be traveling through Easley on their way to an appreciation weekend with the folks at Keowee Keys.  They will be escorted by a motorcycle fleet and riding in some nice cars!

What can you do?
We are hoping that the residents of Easley will line Hwy 123 from Powdersville Road (Jimmy's Family Restaurant), all the way down to Hwy 135. (The exit for Walmart).  So, this means you!  Please come and show your support to our service men and women of this country.

Here is the Greenville News Article.

Primary Time!

And on Tuesday the 8th, let your voice be heard in the primary elections!  The Marines you will see and cheer on Monday have offered their very life so that we can show up on Tuesday and vote.  It is heart breaking to think that these men and women would willingly lay their life on the line so that we might say, "I just didn't have time to vote today."

Biblically, God ordained three institutions.  The Church, The Family and The Government.  As believers, we are to fully engage into all 3 of those areas of life.  Voting is not only a civic duty, but also a Christian duty.  Regardless of your politics or your stance on today's issues, show up and cast a vote.

So, Go, VOTE!
