What a great response! I thank many of you for emailing me with your questions and comments. I was able to clarify many issues and also able to fix many others. I encourage you to email me with anything that is on your mind.
April is an important month for the YMCA. As many of you have seen, the YMCA, City of Easley and Downtown Business Association have teamed up to offer the annual Spring Fling Event that is located downtown. The YMCA is hosting an extensive event that includes cycling and running while the Downtown Business Association is hosting the festival on Main Street. Get involved! Volunteer, sign up to participate, attend the festival, eat at downtown restaurants and shop around. This will be a great event for our entire community.
The Pickens County YMCA continues to grow! In the month of March, we grew by 154 members which allowed us to reach a new all-time-high. Summer Camp, Swim Lessons, Swim Team, Baseball, Pool Parties and Tae Kwon Do are registering now. Space can be limited in certain programs so the earlier you sign-up, the better.
You know, the YMCA can be a challenging place to work. We have over 9,000 members and directly serve more than 12,000 people per year. We have more than 200 staff, 80+ volunteers and over 35 programs and services. With all that, we still strive to meet each and every expectation from those we serve. Our member satisfaction surveys, program surveys and personal feedback all indicate we are on the right track. But, we are not perfect. That is why I encourage you to read these emails and respond to them. It will allow us to get better!
