Saluda VBS "Wrestles" with Issues |
Saluda Presbyterian Church had five young men wrestling with Jacob, an angel, and Danny Dollar for Vacation Bible School recently at the Batesburg residence of their pastor, Dr. William P (Bill) Tarbell. After a Bible study of Jacob wrestling with the angel, writing a song about it and practicing it on the guitars, Jack and Connor Sample, Jesse Werts, Scott Ayoub (front row), and Brad Werts (left side, back row), grabbed a couple of pizzas at the Pizza Hut, then met with Danny Dollar, professional wrestler to learn more about wrestling, tips for safety, image versus reality in the lives of some of the wrestlers, and some demonstration holds and releases. The young people and VBS advisor, Mrs Jesse Rollings, have now been invited to attend one of the upcoming shows in Columbia as guest of Danny Dollar and CWA. |
