"Don't limit yourself. Many people limit themselves to what they think they can do. What you believe, remember, you can achieve."
~Mary Kay Ash~

Have you seen the movie "Limitless"? It came out earlier this year and is now on DVD. I just watched it for the third time. It's about a man who takes a pill that allows him to access the full potential of his mind. He goes from an aimless slacker to a Wall Street genius. Of course, the pill and those who want it create an avalanche of repercussions. A fascinating study of choices and possibilities.
It's a wild ride that got me thinking. In lieu of a pill, what can we do to decrease our often self-imposed limits and tap into our true potential? Here are three strategies to get us started. What would you add to this list?
- Exercise. Besides reducing stress and increasing our lifespan, exercise helps us think clearer and the energy we derive from it is like gaining a few extra hours in our day.
- Make friends with positive, supportive high achievers. Big dreams don't seem so impossible when you know others who have achieved theirs. Find a mentor who can help lead the way.
- Talk to yourself. We are always talking to ourselves but it tends to be negative. Use positive affirmations to remind yourself that anything is possible.
What other conscious choices can you make that will support a limitless life? Share your wisdom on my Facebook Page or just reply back to me. I hope to hear from you!
